With its head office and production plant located in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Gm South Africa is a daughter company of global leader General Motors. Followed by Chevrolet sales in 1913, the GMSA started its local manufacturing in 1929 introducing with other car brands such as Oakland, Buick, Pontiac, GMC trucks, and Oldsmobile etc along with GM. The subsidiary began as Delta Motor Corporation in 1987 and was acquired by General Motors Corporation 10 years later.
